Purim Today

Boy, Purim is sure different than when I was a kid (in the 1950's and 60's). Back then Mom & Grandma made Humanteaschen, we listened to hear the Megillah red (mostly not in costume)and attended a Purim carnival.

These days there I still that. But there is so much more - from Mishloat Manot to costumes and much more. What do you do for Purim ? What is done at home and what is done within the larger community ?

Is there a unique Purim event in your community ? Do you do anything different with your family ?

Do you like Purim - the celebrations and the message ? Is it a compelling holiday for you, your kids, your family ? Do you relate differently to a "historical" holiday as opposed to a "religious" one ?

Share your thoughts with us.

BTW, we'll be asking similar types of questions shortly when Passover rolls around.
